New First Time Students
Northern Exposure: New Student Orientation for new first-time students educates you on the many services that Northern Kentucky University has to offer. In addition to learning more about NKU, Northern Exposure answers questions you may have about college life and helps you begin to build a strong success network at NKU.
Once you confirm your enrollment with NKU by paying the $75 Enrollment Confirmation Fee, you will be assigned an orientation date based on the availability in your major and notified by mail. Please feel free to contact our office if you have any questions. (859) 572-1967.
Orientation is required for all incoming students. The student orientation fee of $100.00 includes all orientation program materials, meals, program facilitation, and a Norse backpack. In addition, this fee helps to assist with the costs associated with Welcome Week programming such as New Student & Parent Convocation and FreshFusion in the fall. The guest orientation fee of $50 includes all orientation program materials, meals, program facilitation, a Parent Reception and an NKU tote. The orientation fees do not have to be paid before you are assigned an orientation date. You simply need to pay the orientation fees before you attend your orientation. These fees may be paid in person, by mail or online via e-check.
